In addition, general housekeeping in the plant as directed. Provide back-up to the plant as needed in various areas. Must have a good understanding of what cleaning chemicals are appropriate for different tasks and follow all safety precautions in handling.Essential Functions
  • Daily cleaning of employee lunchroom and restrooms
  • Cleaning of all other areas on an as-needed basis
  • Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Properly use steam / hot water system
  • Properly use product and material-handling pumps
  • Provide back-up to various plant positions as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required
  • Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Must pass respiratory fitness test

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, and twisting
  • Occasional lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds

  • Wet or humid conditions
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Exposure to brine (sulfur dioxide, pH of solution to 3.0)

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
