Position: Senior Financial AnalystLocation: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite including Thursday)Pay: $110,000 to $135,000 annually (Exempt)Experience: 5+ years of experience (law firm preferred) to manage data and report initiatives; develop, maintain, and improve systems and processes; and respond to requests for information.   • Collaborate with Chiefs and department Directors to prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with departmental needs.
  • Act as a matter expert on financial reporting systems and provide support to department leaders to ensure understanding of budgets and financial reports.
  • Proactively identify and provide ad hoc financial summaries/analyses to department leaders to solve significant business problems and support department operations.
  • Lead the effort in developing and transitioning recurring reports to dashboard environments and process efficiencies.
  • Gather and compile data for periodic review cycle.
  • Conduct monthly general ledger (G/L) account review and track significant variances.
  • Prepare financial management reports, including monthly financial statement package.
  • Collaborate with Controller on analyzing budget-to-actual variances and assisting in the journal entry (JE) reclassification process.
  • Analyze key performance measures; discuss findings and observations.
  • Gather data and prepare reports in connection with review and compensation cycle.
  • Prepare annual partner compensation data and reports.
  • Assist in the development of cube-based reporting.
  • Assist in preparing the annual revenue budget.
  • Analyze key performance measures; discuss findings and observations.
  • Lead the effort to identify necessary updates to existing financial management reports and develop new reports.
  • Gather data and prepare reports in connection with review and compensation cycle.
  • Prepare responses to benchmarking, census and other industry surveys.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyze client/firm statistics/metrics and propose recommendations based on analysis.
Position Requirements:
  • Advance MS Office (Word, Excel - expert level including spreadsheet design/pivot tables, Outlook, Power Point), MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Xcelerate, PowerBI, Tableau, 3E, and Financial Insights.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to strategize, multi-task and prioritize to accurately meet time-sensitive deadlines.
