Specializing in design-build, new construction, rehabilitation and renovation of commercial, industrial and municipal projects, CEC boasts a local, experienced workforce who self-perform in variety of trades from carpentry work to concrete paving, steel fabrication & erection, to excavation and more.CEC is currently seeking a Project Manager/Estimator based in Clinton, Iowa.The estimator/project manager will be responsible for overseeing various building and civil construction projects ranging in size and scope. This position requires the ability to see a project from start to finish including estimating, preconstruction, construction, and project closeout. The estimator/project manager must have the ability to manage crews daily, build and maintain effective customer relationships, develop and oversee project schedules, coordinate materials / subcontractors, and keep costs within budget while running within our safety guidelines and maintaining quality standards.What makes you successful in this position?
Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Engineering plus on-the-job experience in project management and/or estimating, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience with pre-engineered steel structures and/or heavy highway construction
Strong organizational, managerial, analytical and interpersonal skills that allow you to lead multiple projects with minimal supervision
Brings innovative ideas and best practices to the role
Team player mentality with the desire to be a part of a successful company who values promoting from within
Must possess a valid drivers license and the ability to meet insurability standards of the company’s motor vehicle policy
This position is based in Clinton, IA and will require the ability to travel approximately 10% of the time, including to job sites both in and out of town, along with some nights, weekends and overnight stays, depending on work demands.The pay range for this position is based on experience.Candidates must possess the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.Why should you work here?Check out Clinton Engineering here -
