The School of Education and Counseling within the College of Applied Human Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-Time Adjunct Faculty positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following specializations in the Spring 2026, Summer 2026 and/or Fall 2026 semesters: elementary and secondary teacher education, literacy education, special education, education leadership, early childhood education, child development, family sciences, counseling, human services, and addiction studies.QualificationsThese positions at minimum require a master’s or doctoral degree in a field related to the course(s) being taught (e.g., Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Education Leadership, Literacy Education, Child Development, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline), as well as evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. The positions available in the counseling area may require counseling experience and/or holding appropriate licenses in the field. Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with only a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis.
