Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician Job DescriptionAs a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists by providing distributive pharmacy services in an ambulatory setting. You will handle tasks such as entering and filling prescriptions, managing prior authorizations, and maintaining pharmacy inventory.Responsibilities
  • Enter, fill, and handle will call for prescription orders.
  • Provide assistance and support for pharmacists in an ambulatory setting.
  • Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory for the pharmacy, including restocking and removing expired products.
  • Assist with extemporaneous and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
Essential Skills
  • Prior authorization expertise
  • Customer service skills
  • Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT)
  • Proficiency in order entry and data entry
  • Experience in pharmacy benefits management

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an outpatient pharmacy located in Willoughby Hills, known for its busy environment handling approximately 1500 prescriptions per week. The busiest days are Mondays with 500-600 prescriptions and Fridays experiencing high foot traffic. The pharmacy operates Monday to Thursday from 8am to 8pm, and Friday from 8am to 6pm. Shifts are typically 8 hours, but may extend to 10 hours on occasion, with no weekend or holiday requirements.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
