- Development of style guides and best practices for representing system requirements, architectures, and behaviors in SysML
- Training of other SciTec staff on best practices
- Design, development, and maintenance of domain-specific metamodels and profiles extending standard SysML to better model the SciTec mission domain
- Design, development, and maintenance of software, scripts, and validation suites to embed business logic in a SysML modeling environment
- Design, development, and maintenance of tools to generate reports from SysML environments, and to integrate model data with other SciTec business processes
- Supporting the documentation of operational concepts, stakeholder needs, system requirements, and system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools
- Support to staff mentoring and process improvement within the SciTec systems engineering team
- Other duties as assigned
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or remote sensing
- At least 5 years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Detail Oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Current SECRET security clearance. Current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information is a plus
- Prior experience with the Cameo/MagicDraw suite of tools. Demonstrated experience with extending these tools using custom scripts and tooling is a plus
- Demonstrated familiarity with multiple modeling standards, including SysML 1.x, DoDAF, UAF, SysML 2.x, and UML. Familiarity with language standards and metamodels
- Proficiency in more than one programming language, particularly proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including the use of version control (e.g. Git), unit testing, and continuous software integration and delivery
- Academic credentials or industry certification (e.g. INCOSE) in systems engineering
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience with the design or operation of space-based sensor systems, ground segments, or exploitation tooling. Experience in Overhead Persistent Infrared sensor systems is a plus
