Develop engineering and production software tools for Electronic Control Unit (ECU) target platforms. Develop desktop engineering software tools for vehicle host development platforms. Maintain legacy vehicle architecture CAN simulation tools to provide CAN database updates and security fixes as needed. Research and implement tools and processes to accelerate developer productivity. Develop and lead process improvement initiatives. Perform root cause analysis and mitigate software defects found internally and in the field. Configure standard developer desktop environment for all developers to use to ensure consistency of compilers and tools used for local and server software builds. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Software solution development using at least one of the following: C, C++, C#, Java, or Python. 2. Development, testing, or use of automotive networks (CAN) to program, calibrate, monitor, or test Electronic Control Units. 3. Utilize git for source code configuration management. 4. Create or consume integrations to external systems using at least one of the following: REST APIs, COM/CORBA, plug-in DLLs, SOAP, or XML Web services. 5. Author unit tests and ensure adequate unit test coverage, including mocking complex data structures. 6. Utilize Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, or Lean) and associated tools (Jira, ClickUp, Rally, or GitHub) to plan and deliver measurable units of work.
