
Site Coordinator/Director - Middle School Academy

- Directly supervise and provide daily guidance to site staff, including assistance with evaluations.
- Maintain appropriate discipline and manage children's behavior according to YMCA policies.
- Facilitate safe and engaging activities for children, ensuring adherence to program methodology.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, school faculty, and principals.
- Ensure proper maintenance and organization of school and YMCA equipment, supplies, and inventories.
- Maintain accurate records and data for each child and employee, including attendance tracking.
- Monitor, complete, and submit all attendance requirements to the Assistant Director and participant database.
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions, including state-mandated courses.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the school site and YMCA facilities.
- Effectively handle all emergency incidents using mature and sound judgment.
- Ensure the site meets all YMCA, state licensing, and grant contract standards.
- Promote and market all YMCA programs, encouraging family participation.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with youth and implement contract methodology.
- Assist in grant monitoring activities and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Schedule and conduct at least quarterly family engagement events to meet grant methodology.
- Attend required abuse risk management training and adhere to related procedures.
- Report any suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations promptly.
- Follow mandated YMCA and grant contracts abuse reporting requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one-year experience in a before or after school setting.
- Requires completion of all mandatory child care trainings MODS
- Requires six early childhood credits from an accredited university or hold a CDA or CDA equivalent and Directors' credential.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- First Aid, CPR & AED required.
- Prefer knowledge of sports and children's programming.
- Strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, general record keeping skills and must be capable of resolving conflict.
- Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.
