This position is salary and includes a company vehicle.JOB SUMMARY:The person in this position is responsible for assisting tenants with after-hours emergencies dispatched by a call center. (Emergencies are predetermined identifiable situations.) This position reports to the Director of Maintenance.Assigned Duties * Maintain set scheduled work hours.
Perform maintenance duties to handle emergencies including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliance repairs, HVAC, troubleshooting, and other circumstances that arise after-hours.
Respond to resident within 30 minutes of received call. (Either by phone or by arriving to their unit, depending on calls in que.)
Communicate with onsite staff with situational updates.
People that are successful in this position must have:
Previous Maintenance Technician experience in Property Management.
Previous experience in troubleshooting emergency maintenance requests.
Previous customer service experience.
Ability to take direction from others and work as a team.
Willingness to work independently while staying on task.
A drive to be successful.
Understands the importance of confidentiality.
Must be punctual and reliable.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Willingness to travel amongst Sioux Falls and surrounding communities.
