
Junior Environmental Technician

- Performs daily routine inspections with site SOP
- Understands site specific operating procedures, per various permits and regulations
- Respond to site events such as shutdowns, or various other upset conditions
- Testing, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical pumps/transducers and all other leachate collection system controls.
- Demonstrates competent electrical knowledge
- Proficient with hand, power, and pneumatic tooling
- Experience with various analyzers to include gas chromatography, H2S sampling equipment, SO2 monitors etc.
- Efficiently able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and operation manuals
- Onboarding and managing contractors on site, ensuring all safety briefs, permits and procedures are in place
- Troubleshoots gas collection control systems (GCCS)
- HDPE pipe welding and fusing experience
- Air compressor, blowers, VFD and electric motor maintenance, diagnostic and repairs
- Utilize LOTO program
- Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with landfill gas extraction and/or leachate systems
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with electrical components and associated equipment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing maintenance activities of various equipment
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- VPN and remote access
- SCADA, OIT, VNC using workstation computer
