Associate Director of Technical Accounting

• Partner with various business unit teams that are developing and making changes to commercial arrangements, providing contemporaneous advice in relation to GAAP and financial rerating implications.
• Interpret accounting standards and apply them to commercial situations and scenarios.
• Compose technical accounting memos that set out a concise statement of facts, the relevant GAAP, options, and conclusions.
• Remain current in relation to all GAAP developments relevant to the Company’s financial reporting and manage the implementation of any new pronouncements.
• Support the corporate office and international operating businesses with U.S. GAAP and accounting policy analyses and advice.
• Direct the development and presentation of training materials to business stakeholders to both build general understanding of GAAP principles and concepts relevant to the business and articulate the impact that proposed transactions and contract amendments will have on the Company's financial reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience working with financial reporting packages in either an audit or close environment required.
• CPA preferred.
• Managerial experience preferred
• Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
• Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
