Mid Cities Psychiatry in Euless, TX is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Smart Building IT Manager to oversee the full spectrum of operations at our psychiatric outpatient clinic. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the clinic remains safe, secure, clean, fully functional, and technologically equipped to support our patients, staff, and visitors.This role combines facility management, IT support, vendor coordination, and operational oversight, making it central to the smooth, uninterrupted functioning of the clinic. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, calm under pressure, and a true team player who is willing to “wear many hats” to get the job done.Key Responsibilities:Facilities & Safety
  • Oversee general building maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of all areas (lobby, patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and staff areas).
  • Coordinate with external vendors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, pest control, security, medical equipment).
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify hazards or facility needs.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and assist with Joint Commission (JCAHO) preparedness.
  • Support clinic events (room set-ups, furniture arrangements, equipment needs).
  • Respond promptly to urgent facility issues and coordinate emergency repairs.
  • Manage access control (keys, codes, fobs) and security systems.
Technology & IT Support
  • Manage and troubleshoot IT systems: internet, networking, phones, desktops, printers, scanners, projectors, EMR systems, Google Workspace, and audiovisual/virtual meeting technology.
  • Set up and maintain staff accounts, hardware, and devices.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors for advanced troubleshooting, upgrades, or installations.
  • Maintain logs of IT troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system updates.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility, technology, and service vendors.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality service delivery from contractors and external partners.
Operational Support
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve issues impacting daily operations.
  • Act as a clinic runner for time-sensitive errands (e.g., post office, hospital runs, vendor pickups).
  • Monitor and order facility and IT supplies (filters, cleaning supplies, bulbs, tech accessories).
  • Assist with emergency planning, fire drills, or crisis response.
Flexibility & Teamwork
  • Be available beyond standard hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Step into multiple roles when necessary, including direct support to staff.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and a “do-what-it-takes” mindset to keep the clinic running smoothly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in building/facilities management or IT support (healthcare setting preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Computer networking & troubleshooting
  • Phone systems & conferencing technology
  • General building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical basics)
  • Ability to balance hands-on maintenance with higher-level IT and coordination responsibilities.
  • Professional communication skills with staff, vendors, and patients.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
  • CPR & First Aid
  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent IT certification (preferred but not required)
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) (preferred but not required)

Position Details
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Benefits
  • Pay: $40,000 – $45,000 per year
  • Medical Insurance: eligibility begins the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment
