- Create assemblies and components for next-gen commercial and military engines, from concept to detailed design.
- Enhance existing engine performance and support production, field investigations, and aftermarket needs.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, and lead or contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- Focus on design configuration with attention to cost, weight, and manufacturability.
- Advance gas turbine technology, support design reviews, and follow Engineering Standard Work protocols.
- Travel 10% (Domestic and International).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field.
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
- Previous engineering experience in a design engineering role, either in new product development or support of fielded product.
- Experience in CAD modeling, familiarity with NX programs, and experience with Siemens Teamcenter software.
- An active or transferable US Government-issued Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government-issued Secret Security Clearance at a "Secret" level.
- Eligible for Relocation.
- North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan, Low Pressure Compressor (LPC), High Pressure Compressor (HPC), Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure turbine and Mechanical System modules across all Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility. This specific opportunity is to join our Hot Section component designers Team.
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
