
Surgical Retina Specialist, Assistant Professor - CRT

- Diagnose and manage retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, uveitis, and inherited retinal disorders.
- Perform surgical procedures such as vitrectomy, scleral buckling, and intraocular injections.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging (OCT, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasound).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in resident and fellow education, including surgical training and didactic instruction.
- Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- MD degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency.
- Fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity.
