Responsible for the overall operations of the facilities in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards
and regulations, and in accordance with Beecan's policies and procedures to assure that the highest degree of quality care
can be provided to our residents at all times.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values, and standards of ethical behavior.
  • Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation.
  • Assist facility with survey preparation and provide support as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for the Director of Nursing.
  • Ensure that the employee skills, competency, and evaluations are within compliance.
  • Facilitate the dining/RNA process.
  • Ensure that interdisciplinary team meetings comply with the facility protocols and maintain team cohesiveness.
  • Responsible for pressure management oversight.
  • Oversee weight and nutrition guidelines.
  • Responsible for fall management oversight.
  • Oversees management of psychotropic medications.
  • Ensures staff remains engaged with company culture.
  • Ensures that each resident receives superior care in a manner that maintains or enhances their quality of life and
helps them attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status, in an environment of
kindness, dignity and respect. * Ensures quality of care and operational effectiveness through open communication with staff at the facility, includingmanaging requests, complaints, and recommendations. Maintains confidentiality of all resident care information. * Ensures that all residents' rights including fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy,property, and civil rights, including the right to file complaints, are well established, and protected at all times. * Complies with and upholds all company policies and procedures.
  • Leads team and provides proactive support, removing obstacles and providing solutions as needed. Fosters a work
environment that values and recognizes the contributions of each employee and encourages a spirit of cooperation,
communication, and teamwork to achieve organizational goals. * Identifies areas for improvement, develops effective plans, monitors, and evaluates results and communicates tofacility staff as necessary. * Works with facility to implement and monitor Home Office compliance program at facility and works closely with
  • Home Office Compliance team to keep apprised of issues and concerns at facility. Assists Home Office Compliance
team to establish methods to improve facility's efficiency and quality of services while reducing vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste. * Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures; HIPAA confidentialitystandards of resident and facility information; Infection Control, Universal Precautions, OSHA, and safety standards;
established safety precautions and regulations in the performance of tasks and the use of equipment and supplies. * Conducts routine inspections of the facility to ensure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
  • Keeps abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards and industry best practices.
  • Participates in periodic and routine regional meetings to obtain company updates, address operational issues,
enhance skill and knowledge base, and discuss performance measurements for facility. Attends various training and
development conferences and meetings. * Reviews and develops in coordination with appropriate department managers Plan of Correction for deficienciesnoted during annual survey inspections/complaint visits and provides a written copy of such plan to Regional Director
of Operations. * Ensures the following are reported and resolved in a timely and effective manner, within established facility procedures and regulatory standards: accidents and incidents; resident grievances, complaints, allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property; occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals; concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance including but not limited to hazardous conditions and equipment.
  • Ensures that facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner for utmost resident care, comfort, and security by ensuring that necessary equipment and adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
  • Is accessible after hours for emergency purposes.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Documented successful track record indicating a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations relating to nursing homes based on past Department of Health Services survey results preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college required; specialization in healthcare administration or business administration preferred
  • Guidance and skill development training abilities
  • Able to assess, document and provide constructive feedback
  • Demonstrate communication skills
  • Able to coordinate with team for frequent training sessions
  • Clinical knowledge and acumen

  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing/medical practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the
guidelines that pertain to long-term care * Must be able to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensibly enough to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Strong communication skills, both one-on-one and in a group, and ability to listen and respond to questions effectively
  • Sufficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and /or Internet to perform required duties
