Education Technology SpecialistWe are searching for an Education Technology Specialist (ETS) who manages professional development sessions and trainings as they relate to instructional technology, as well as collaborating with campus instructional coaches, the SILS team, and the IT department. The ETS supports faculty at both campuses, in-person and virtuallyResponsibilities:
Monitor platform usage over the academic year to inform budgetary decisions as it relates to platform subscription renewals
Collaborate with CSO and CAO to provide student performance data within various instructional technology platforms
Collaborate with instructional coaches on PD schedules to identify opportunities for necessary technology training during PD
Serve as POC for all instructional technology platforms and work with platform POCs to resolve issues, advocate for faculty needs, and or collaborate with SILS and IT to vet potential new platforms with which faculty will engage
Provide asynchronous and synchronous professional development for faculty and academic teams on how to use various instructional technologies
Inform faculty of essential updates that impact how they and/or students interact with various platforms
Develop and maintain a resource library of step-by-step guides and instructional videos on how to use essential platforms and devices such as Chromebooks, Zoom, Schoology, Achieve 3000, etc.
Manage roles within various platforms to ensure that various parties have the correct level of access on the platform
Support with rostering students in platforms that do not permit single sign-on
Obtain and/or maintain essential certifications such as Google and Microsoft
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:A Master's degree in Education Administration, Adult Education, Teaching ESL, Bilingual Education, or technology-related field.At least 3 years' experience delivering professional development and/or teachingDemonstrated knowledge of educational trends and initiatives related to ESL, GED, Adult Education, Blended Learning, and Hybrid learning that inform advocated technology needs for faculty and academic teamsAbility to coordinate with external partners to provide training to address internal needsAbility to create a safe and compassionate learning environment that supports learning for faculty and academic teamsEffective communication skills (written and verbal)Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilitiesStrong technology skills and ability to navigate various platforms, Google and/or Microsoft certifications preferredAbility to work a split shift schedule (8:30 am-12:00 pm) (5:30 pm-9:00 pm) or Hours may vary during PD days in the school calendarDeep commitment to CRIPCS's core values and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.Must be able to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinationCommitment to CRIPCS's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.To ensure that you understand the school's commitment to our work and the expectations of all school community members is to advance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging work.
