- Design, deploy, and optimize telecom systems including PBX, VoIP, LAN/WAN, fiber.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to call quality, signal integrity, or connectivity.
- Configure and maintain telecom hardware, switches, gateways, and multiplexers.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure efficient telecom operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, updates, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and company security standards.
- Provide technical support and training for users and internal teams.
- Conduct regular capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- [2–5+] years of experience in telecommunications or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of telephony systems (e.g., VoIP, SIP, PBX, PRI).
- Experience with telecom monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Familiarity with industry protocols, such as TCP/IP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based communication platforms (e.g., Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Voice).
- Hands-on knowledge of fiber optic and wireless transmission systems.
- Experience with telecom billing and CRM systems.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
