Full Time,Varied Shifts Includes 12 & 24 hr shifts, days, nights, weekends and holidaysDevelops, teaches, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs in collaboration with the department manager/director. Analyzes health care practices to improve patient care. Maintains National Registry Certification and State of NH Paramedic licensure. Actively works in the Paramedic role on Hospital's Paramedic Intercept Unit and in the Emergency Department.Responsibilities:
  • 3-5 years of directly related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Nationally Registered Paramedic
  • State of NH Paramedic licensure
  • CPR, ACLS and PALS
  • Experience working in an EMS system utilizing preâ€'hospital RSI preferred.
Major Responsibilities: * Collaborates with Manager/Director and staff to assess education needs related to staff competency, organizational goals and individual development plans.
  • Develops, plans, schedules and implements educational activities for EH staff and area EMS Services. Participates in the development, implementation, and education of Standards of Care policies and procedures.
  • Integrates relevant research outcomes into professional practice through effective learning activities. Promotes evidence-based practice, able to reference and provide up to date literature/publications to assist staff in improving outcomes. Serves as a role model in implementation of professional practice in the clinical setting.
  • Assists in the integration of new practice through effective communication and intrapersonal relationship skills. Develops collaborative relationships.
  • Actively participates on specified clinically focused committees/task forces.
  • Functions as a mentor and change agent. Assists in identifying need for change within the department, then uses appropriate strategies, to modify policies, procedures, and processes as needed to effect desired change.
  • Maintains records and class rosters of education activities. Prepares reports of activities as requested.
  • Supports clinical competency of EMS staff through teaching. Role models professional communication and develops positive, synergistic relationships in pursuit of quality care.
  • Assists with integration of new clinical/practice documentation standards into electronic documentation system.
  • Responsible for working clinically in the Paramedic role.
