Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Account Coordinator to join our growing team in Portland, OR!The primary role of the Personal Lines Account Coordinator (AC) is to assist the Personal Lines department with routine tasks while learning the Insurance Industry. Other functions may include data processing and data entry, preparing invoices, processing endorsements, maintaining various department files, and corresponding with customers and other vendors. An AC is expected to be actively engaged in learning activities such as in-house training courses, mentoring, and industry certification in preparing to move into the Customer Account Manager position in the future.How You Will Contribute:Attend training sessions/courses to develop and purse insurance related designationsGenerate AMS (Agency Management Systems) reports as requestedRun weekly suspense reports for the departmentPrint Insurance Coverage Review checklist for new accountsProcess insurance bindersScan and attach all mail/correspondence in AMS for the departmentAnswer phones, route callers, and take and deliver messagesPrepare VIP Summaries as neededCopy and assemble proposalsAddress policy change requests by processing endorsementsCheck policies ensure each policy is delivered to the customer within 30 days of receiptMaintain appropriate level of confidentially of information processedOther duties or special projects may be assignedLicenses and Certifications:Obtain a Property & Casualty License for the State of Oregon and/or resident state when required by Management after probationary period.Enroll in CISR/CIC Designation Program when required by Management.Skills & Experience to Be Successful:Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent with six (6) months of office experience or high school graduate with a minimum of one (1) year experience in an office environment, other combination of work and/or education will be consideredBasic understanding of insurance and business terminology is preferredWillingness and desire to increase knowledge of the personal insurance field while pursuing an industry designationFluent with Microsoft Windows, Word, and ExcelAMS360 experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated abilityExceptional telephone demeanorMust have excellent customer service and interpersonal skillsTeammate Benefits & Total Well-BeingWe go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:
