The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in product design refinement, establishing manufacturing processes with selected suppliers, ensuring process controls are appropriately in place, orchestrating qualification activities, and supporting product release by ensuring appropriate Quality Management System procedures and documentation are completed. This role requires collaboration with Mechanical Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure that manufacturing processes achieve desired design critical function and performance.Top Technical Skills Required

Education and ExperienceEducation Required: BS in EngineeringYears’ Experience Required: 2-5 yearsWork Schedule and LocationThis position requires working 40 hours a week. The role is primarily onsite in Lafayette, CO, with occasional remote work allowed.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
  • Design the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
  • Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and initiate corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.
