- Be a critical member of the product development engineering team.
- Lead RF and PS designs with a cross functional team (direct and indirect resources) to complete product (complete product and/or subsystems) delivery to our customer that meets their expectations and is delivered on time following our design process.
- Provide technical leadership to the team on the design of new products and platforms including helping refine high level requirements and allocate detailed requirements to product modules and components.
- Implement best practices within a cross function design team to support appropriate level of process and review of the design process.
- Work with our Advanced Development team to review technology readiness to launch into new products.
- Work with other cross functional teams such as our NPI, purchasing, quality, program & project management, finance, safety, production, and other teams as needed.
- Builds peer to peer relationships within AE.
- Work is split between a standard office environment, an engineering lab, and/or clean room.
- Travel may be required both domestically and internationally.
- Proven track record of getting products to market and providing technical leadership.
- Ability to support the testing and debug using common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, function generators, JTAG or similar tools, etc.
- The ability to assist in analysis, prototyping, simulation, and validation of circuit designs.
- Be a creative problem solver with a focus on quality, safety, cost, and delivery schedules.
- Familiar with UL /CSA compliance.
- Basic programming or scripting skills such as assembly, C, Python, etc. for microcontrollers and/or processors and/or basic skills in Verilog or VHDL would be a plus.
- Strong team player skills and attitude.
- Ability to travel within US and abroad for short periods of time (as need).
- At least 8 years' experience in related industries preferably working with power electronics, but other relevant industry experience will be considered.
- 6 years' experience with master's degree
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or similar) technical degree.
