- Visit jobsites to monitor conformance with Truesdell Corporation’s established safety standards and policies as well as compliance to local, state, and federal regulations
- Partner with Truesdell team members, owner representatives, clinics, medical/testing facilities to ensure effective working relationships
- Ensure training of worksite staff on established safety practices and standards; facilitate new employee safety orientation
- Draft and distribute Tailgate Talks on a weekly basis
- Conduct safety meetings to reinforce safe work practices, to provide awareness of OSHA and other federal, state and local regulations, and to generally promote a strong safety culture
- Be able to speak in front of large audiences
- Communicate safety and health successes, challenges, incidents, corrective actions and opportunities for improvement to the Safety Manager and Vice President of Operations
- Investigate and communicate near misses, incidents and claims to make certain that Truesdell interests are preserved
- Manage work-related injury/illness cases, provide first aid, and ensure employees receive proper and timely medical treatment when needed
- Provide safety guidance, mentorship and development of project teams and safety personnel
- Promote safety and health awareness through crew and one-on-one conversations
- Build trust and respect with field personnel to promote open communication and influence adoption of new safety practices
- Assist in the development of effective training methods such as digital learning, classroom, skill qualifications, and on-the-job training. May assist with identifying and implementing technologies to enhance effective learning experiences
- Work in conjunction with the DOT Manager and Safety Team Members to continuously develop and improve on Truesdell Corporation’s commitment to safety
- Maintain accurate safety files, including all documentation, correspondence, and training documents
- Perform all other duties as required.
- The ability to travel up to 80% of the year nationally.
- Truesdell provides hotel, transportation, and daily meal stipend for travel
- Ability to work variable shifts, nights and weekends when necessary
- The work setting is both an office and project sites
- A good working knowledge of OSHA regulation and Workmans Comp
- Experience in safety, compliance, transportation, or maintenance
- Strong customer interaction skills and experience
- Perform all job responsibilities with attention to quality and detail

- Education and Experience Requirements: Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction/Engineering or equivalent degree/work experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred
- OSHA 500 Certification preferred
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Salary is determined by experience and education, the range for this position is $65k-85k.
