A software company located in Southern California is looking to bring on a Staff level Java Engineer. They're also open to 8-10 year Senior level candidates who don't already have a Staff title. You'll be developing in Java, SpringBoot, AWS and IAC, React, Typescript, Javascript, Next.JS, Rest API and Terraform. You'll be doing 70% backend development, 30% front end development and heavily doing 90% greenfield development. You'll work on their consumer facing application and this role is remote, however, they're only looking for PST or MST time zone candidates since you'll be working on the PST time zone.They're looking for someone with strong communication and strong presentation skills as you'll be interacting with and presenting to non technical folks in the organization. They're also looking for someone who has strong design/architecture skills and someone who has a strong sense of ownership. Any experience in fintech, finance, payments, banking will be a plus!Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Java, SpringBoot, AWS, Microservices
  • Strong experience in hands on development and design/architecture
  • Someone who has strong communication and presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting to executives and shareholders who are not technical
  • Must have experience with Angular or React
  • Candidates who are in the PST or MST time zone
  • If a candidate does not have a Staff title, must have Senior level experience 8-10 years
  • Someone who has stable work experience and doesn't jump around
  • Someone who is an independent thinker and can problem solve
  • Someone who has experience in the fintech, finance, payments or banking industry would be a huge plus
  • Any Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus
