QualificationsWe're Looking for Someone Who:
  • Brings at least 3+ years of supervisory experience (YMCA or related youth programming strongly preferred).
  • Has a strong background in camp operations, youth development, and early childhood programming.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and can manage multiple priorities and programs.
  • Demonstrates excellence in team leadership, budget management, and program innovation.
  • Is comfortable working a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends to support programs.
Bonus if you have a Florida Director Credential or experience with ACA Accreditation, but not required.Essential FunctionsAbout the Role:As the Operations Director, Youth Programs and Enrichment, you'll provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for a variety of youth and family programs, including:
  • Youth Development
  • Summer Camp & Kids Day Out (KDO)
  • Stay and Play (Early Childhood)
  • Teen Leadership & Enrichment
  • Licensed Programs and more!
This role is vital to driving innovation, growing participation, and delivering high-impact experiences to children, teens, and families throughout the community. You'll supervise full-time team members and lead a team of passionate staff while collaborating across departments to exceed goals in quality, engagement, revenue, and retention.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and execution of high-quality, mission-aligned youth and family programs.
  • Supervise and develop full-time and part-time staff across multiple departments.
  • Oversee operations of Summer Day Camp, School-Out Days, Preschool (future), and Teen Programs.
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and excellence in all program areas.
  • Drive member engagement, program retention, and community impact through innovative programming.
