- Minimum two (2) year Technical Degree or at least two years industrial electricity experience (both power and control circuits) required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.
- Problem solving of controls related issues.
- Basic Industrial Communication Skills (ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet) preferred.
- Basic IT and networking skill preferred.
- Two years' experience (or educational equivalent) with PLC / DCS / HMI Programming and configuration.
- At least six months of experience leading projects that require a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Must place safety as the first priority and demonstrate safe working behaviors at all times
- Requires a strong sense of accuracy and attention to details while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be comfortable moving throughout large manufacturing environment with multiple buildings

- Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve control instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and plant requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
- Assist and train team members and other plant employees as necessary.
- Assist in project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
- Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
- Develop skills in specific control disciplines such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
- Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot controls systems, including PLC, VFD, HMI, and networking systems.
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
- Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
- Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
