
Analyst, Pre-Series Material Planner

- BOM Creation and Maintenance: Support the development and maintenance of accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for pre-series vehicle builds. Ensure that all parts, assemblies, and components are correctly listed and reflect the latest engineering designs.
- Change Management: Assist in tracking and implementing Engineering Change Orders and other design changes, ensuring timely updates to the BOM to reflect current project specifications.
- Part Number Assignment: Assist in managing and assigning part numbers, ensuring they are accurate and consistent across all documents and systems.
- Review of technical documents, bill of materials entries and checking for plausibility and completeness. After coordination with technical development, initiate appropriate corrections in the source systems
- Data Entry and System Management: Input and maintain BOM data in relevant systems and databases (e.g., ERP, PLM systems), ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Participation in specialist group meetings, including representation and justification of logistical concerns
- Report Generation: Generate reports on BOM status, parts availability, and project progress to provide clear visibility to internal teams regarding project readiness and material requirements.
- Support Pre-Series Projects: Participate in pre-series vehicle projects by providing BOM-related support to ensure that all parts are accounted for and available on time.
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
- 0-2 years of professional experience in logistics or production environment in a manufacturing industry; Automotive industry would be an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in the field of data management would be an advantage
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complexity
- Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company
- Understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems
- Proven experience with Power BI and data models would be advantage
