- Must be at least 16 years of age, preferred.
- Prior work experience in camp setting, preferred.
- Current State of Alaska Food Workers Card required or ability to obtain before the start of camp.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, cleaning products and
- Must perform duties efficiently and demonstrate good
- Demonstrated ability to work with young people ages 7 years and older.
- Room and Board is provided as Support Crew must be able to stay at camp while camp is in session.
- Kitchen duties such as washing dishes, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, moving and setting up tables for meal service.
- Assist the Summer Cook with meal preparation, serving meals, and clean-up.
- Set up for snack time, serve provided snacks, and clean-up after snack time.
- Empty trash containers daily or more often if
- Sweep porches and walkways at least once a
- Assist with Cabin Activities and Free Time.
- Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual
- Assist Camp Counselors with campers as
- Assist Maintenance Lead with projects as duties
- Foster and nurture Christian faith and discipleship in visible, fruitful ways to campers.
- Actively participate in the spiritual formation of campers and staff.
- Ensure campers respect personal property, camp equipment and facilities.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers, and campers.
- Ensure campers adhere to camp and Salvation Army policies and procedures.
- Ensure and provide supervision and physical/emotional safety for campers and staff.
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
- Assists in clean-up of the camp at the end of sessions/summer.
- Follow the King’s Lake Camp Covenant.
- Assists with all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to see and hear at normal ranges with corrective devices, if necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., or more with assistance.
