
Director of Plant Operations

- Manages daily and weekly work order system to ensure maximum customer service; manages outside contracts which are inter-related with total plant operations.
- Oversees and manages departmental budget – monthly operation issues and capital expense processes; trains plant operations staff in the safe operation of the facility.
- Ensures all fire drills and safety checks are conducted, as required.
- Monitors the sanitation and cleanliness of facility to ensure compliance with all applicable and accrediting standards, licensure requests, and infection control guidelines.
- Manages the following areas of the hospital: plant operations, buildings and grounds, safety, nutrition services and environmental services

QualificationsQualifications
- Significant experience overseeing and managing facility operations, including engineering, HVAC systems, building construction, and maintenance; preferably in a hospital environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure based operations, specifically, as it relates to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building construction, and fire safety.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of contract management, bidding, project management, and contract negotiations.
- Must be able to handle multiple competing task, with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise the work of multiple staff members, and prioritize duties and responsibilities, including performance management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Joint Commission accreditation standards applicable to building operations and environmental services.
- Demonstrated ability to train plant operations staff in the safe operations of facility tools, equipment, machines, and systems.
