Join our team todayYour OpportunityYou will assist the Driller (or Senior Driller) in solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling techniques, rock coring, mud rotary drilling, and other advancement techniques. You will work under the guidance of a Driller or other member of the drilling team, overseeing all components of the move, set up, and operation of drilling rigs and other related equipment. In addition, you will provide basic maintenance, both on the job site as well as when in the shop. You will operate equipment such as pumps for water and mud, as well as other equipment and tools used to correct problem borings.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to lift drill steel and materials weighing up to 80 lbs.Label sample containers as directedPerform minor maintenance and repairs to drill rigDelivering field suppliesPerforms Shop / yard duties at direction of managementLoad and unload trucksBag or jar samples for analysisInstall monitoring well casing and screensClean and maintain equipmentMove drilling rigs and equipment from site to site, set up in the new siteObtain drilling core samplesDig and clean mud pits and drainsDevelop well and perform pumping testsOperate equipment such as pumps for air, water and mud, and equipment and tools used to correct problems boringsWork safelyPerform other duties as assignedYour Capabilities and CredentialsAbility to communicate via emailMechanical skills preferredClass A CDL license requiredMust have a current DOT medical card and will be subject to ongoing and random drug screeningMust pass company background checks including drug screenMust have an excellent driving record within company standardsEducation and ExperienceFive or more years of experience preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent Position will extensively in field setting in all weather conditions and the work is generally physically demanding.
