AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of approved rates and rules for states currently using automated rating, as well as states being programmed for automated rating.
  • Execute rate testing on newly automated states to test for accuracy.
  • Execute dedicated regression tests to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs in DevOps, and communicate findings with team members, relevant stakeholders, and development team.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress and potential risks to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with the testing team to align on testing strategies, share critical insights, and coordinate on integrated efforts.
  • Participate in the actuarial analysis of the company pricing program for low volume states and develop rate level indications.
  • Work effectively individually or in a team environment to accomplish project goals and promote the collaboration of ideas and communication within the department.
Education
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) majoring in mathematics, statistics, or related field from a four-year college or university. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience
2 or more years of experience in quality assurance or manual testing, ideally within the insurance or financial industry. Personal and/or commercial automobile underwriting experience is a plus.Skills/Knowledge
  • Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools (JIRA, DevOps).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage work. Strong spreadsheet and technical skills to use databases and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues and find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
  • Broad knowledge of the insurance industry and related regulations preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to on-going insurance education.
Salary Range: $63,100 - $100,700/$75,200 - $120,200 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.AIPSO is an equal opportunity employer.
