This position is full-time and includes a blend of classroom and on-the-job training throughout Vulcan’s operations.Department: Central ServicesTravel: 75% to 95% during training (with travel out of state for at least 1 week out of the month during training) and then it will go to 50% to 85% within your assigned region -LA West, San Diego or Phoenix)What You’ll LearnOver 12–18 months, trainees will rotate through locations and gain hands-on experience with:Crusher Equipment Assembly/DisassemblyHydraulic & Lubrication SystemsPreventive Maintenance & InspectionBasic Welding & Oxy-Acetylene OperationsElectrical & Sensor SystemsCrusher Rebuilds (Symons, HP series)Computer & Tool TrainingReducer/Speed Reducer RepairsLaser Alignment and Component DiagnosticsQualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesPromote Safety: Follow all MSHA and Vulcan safety standards.Assist with Equipment Maintenance: Learn to inspect, maintain, and repair crushers and processing equipment.Daily Plant Operations: Shoveling, lifting tools, and other physical tasks to support production.Process Monitoring: Observe and learn material flow and compliance in crushing, washing, and screening systems.Travel Weekly: Attend monthly week-long training at various in- and out-of-state Vulcan locations.Requirements & QualificationsMechanical Aptitude: Prior welding, industrial maintenance, or tool experience preferred, but not required.Positive Attitude & Willingness to LearnWork Environment Flexibility: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and in noisy environments.Travel Ready: Able to travel 50–85% during the training program, with overnight stays.Full-Time Availability: You must leave your current role to participate.
