General Maintenance Worker Role Description:The job duties of the General Maintenance Worker include building and grounds maintenance and is responsible for contributing towards a clean and safe working environment.General Maintenance Worker Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additional job duties may be assigned.
General cleaning of the buildings and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
Operate floor scrubber and mop as needed
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
Perform minor repairs or notify supervisor of major repairs needed
Collect and dispose of trash as needed
Keep cleaning/sanitation supplies in stock.
Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance on buildings
Handling basic repairs and maintenance of facility issues
Repairing structures as necessary
Perform odd jobs as assigned for the maintenance department.
Operate hilo and scissor lift as needed
Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
