Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwideBased in New Castle, Delaware, you will be responsible to support the Quality Manager of Parts & CRO business unit in the planning and delivery of quality control and continuous improvement activities.Scope of duties:Quality Control:Safety must always be a prime consideration of every person and you are required to ensure that product safety, the safety of people and the environment is never compromised. * Identify and Define Quality Control requirements for each part numberCarry out inspection of product against drawings and specifications requirements.Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.Have ability to accepts or reject products as defined in the working instructions / Expert support.Maintain Quality documentation and records.Lead supplier non conformity process (MRB, GSI Non conformities, follow up, report analysis, etc)Participate in customer inspections.Monitoring of corrective and preventative actions and close out of CAR’s from Customer.Responsible for maintaining the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.Continuous improvement:Identifying necessary improvements in the quality system and implementing changes to quality procedures.Participate in supplier performance feedback to procurement teamRequirements:5 days a week on site. fully integrated in the workcenter teamAssociates degree, technical preferred.3+ years quality inspection experience within similar industry.Technical knowledge, ability to read a drawingAwareness on processes and products delivered in the project.Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools.Problem solving techniques.Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.Desired Knowledge / Skills
  • A wide practical knowledge of manufacturing techniques and their relationship to quality systems such as those defined in ISO:-9001-2015.
  • Knowledge of Railway Industry Standards.
  • Able to build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Understanding of ALSTOM drawing, systems and procedures.
  • Experienced in the use of tool measuring readings.
  • View quality and deadlines as ‘musts’ to be achieved.
  • SAP user experience
