
OB/GYN CLINIC COORDINATOR RN | UM HEALTH PARTNERS-SPARROW

- In conjunction with the Practice Supervisor, coordinates the nursing and medical assistant staffing needs of the practice, including assisting with the selection, training, and evaluation of personnel.
- In conjunction with the Sparrow Quality Department and Supervisor, develops, implements, and monitors quality assurance standards for the Practice site per mandated guidelines.
- Coordinates the development of educational materials and protocols for clinical practice, including providing counseling to patients and family members in relation to health and family matters, developmental needs, and crises.
- Orients and oversees the continuing education of clinical staff, including providing guidance and assistance with the setting of goals and objectives for the nursing and medical assistant staff. Conducts clinical related in-services.
- Under the direction of a physician, provides nursing care directly to clients within the limits of the RN license. May perform all duties of a RN, as defined on the SMG Registered Nurse (RN) job description.
- Maintains effective and positive communication with practice providers, various other SMG departments and the Sparrow Health System
Work Experience Minimum One year experience in a multi-physician practice setting Minimum Three years experience in a nursing position that required clinical judgment and critical experience Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred Leadership experience preferred EMR experience preferred
Education Associates Degree in Nursing
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment, including excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, their families, physicians, and co-workers Ability to work in an EMR environment Ability to provide care for patients that is age-specific to meet their physical and safety needs, psychosocial concerns and educational level Visual and auditory acuity necessary to monitor patients condition and operate office equipmentUniversity of Michigan Health-Sparrow is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
