Job Title: Diesel Technician – Heavy-Duty Fleet MaintenanceOur client, a well-established and forward-thinking fleet operation, is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join their growing team. The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet to ensure it meets DOT and company safety standards. The ideal Diesel Technician will bring a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently, and a desire to be part of a collaborative, safety-first environment.This is a full-time opportunity offering excellent benefits, a newly updated shop, and a strong team culture in Iowa.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and related equipment, including engine, chassis, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsUtilize onboard computer systems and diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issuesPerform preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and ensure compliance with DOT standardsCollaborate with drivers to identify concerns and ensure repairs are timely and accurateAccurately estimate time and material costs; requisition and install replacement partsRespond to unscheduled service calls and complete on-site repairs when neededMaintain clean, organized workspaces and uphold all safety and OSHA standardsRead and interpret service manuals and technical documentsUphold the company’s commitment to quality service, safety, and customer satisfactionQualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience working on diesel trucksStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic systems
