Job Category: Customer Education ServicesJob Description:We have an exciting new opportunity for a Professional Tool Training Specialist at our Rockford, Illinois location! This individual will develop and conduct product training and virtual training content for Professional Tools Distribution customers, end-users, and employees. This training will focus on the safe and proper use of equipment included in the Emerson Professional Tools brands. This position creates and delivers support materials for training and vocational partner certifications.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Facilitate and engage in product training for distributor customers, end-user customers, employees, and other partners.
  • Conduct and participate in Customer product training logistics (i.e., Hotel Accommodations, nighttime activity, transportation & support materials associated with training).
  • Coordinate and conduct customized training sessions for Professional Tools employees and groups requiring specific training unique knowledge in particular products and applications.
  • Create and update training videos, manuals, and handouts to support training modules and certifications
  • Manage training center inventory to maintain up to current product available for training programs. This will include the disposition of obsolete products.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School Graduate (College preferred but not required) with 3 to 5 years involvement in Professional Tools products and service of such products.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Must display professionalism and enthusiasm in representing the Professional Tools brands and products.
  • Must be a hands-on individual with a high mechanical aptitude to comprehend the products' function and how these products or services meet our customer's needs.
  • Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office and virtual meeting applications.
  • Basic math skills, familiarity with algebra and trigonometry concepts. Understanding of the metric system.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Completion of a two-year college degree in a related, technical field OR equivalent work experience in the professional trades associated with the Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing industries.
  • Knowledge of basic photography/videography and associated editing software or eLearning content-related applications such as Adobe Captivate is preferred.
