We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Primary Healthcare Centers. In this role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support in our pediatric practice, ensuring children and their families receive compassionate, high-quality care. Your contributions will directly impact the health and well-being of our youngest patients.Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric providers with patient examinations, immunizations, and procedures.
- Perform vital signs, growth measurements, and developmental screenings.
- Collect medical histories from parents/guardians and update patient records accurately.
- Provide education and reassurance to families regarding treatments, vaccines, and procedures.
- Support patient service initiatives to create a positive, child-friendly environment.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies needed for pediatric care.
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient pediatric clinic flow.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
- Prior experience in pediatrics or working with children strongly desired.
- Knowledge of immunization schedules, developmental milestones, and pediatric growth standards a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with children and families, using a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records is preferred.
