The department oversees all ordered and completed appraisals for Direct to Consumer, Retail, and TPO channels and ensures all compliance aspects have been met. The Appraisal Coordinator works together with several departments as necessary, including Underwriting, Processing, and Production. The Appraisal Coordinator is one of the few people within the company with the authority to contact an appraiser directly.Direct ReportsN/APrincipal DutiesOrdering and managing of the company’s VA (Veterans Affairs) appraisal orders.Delivering appraisals to the borrowers.Entry of appraisal data into Destiny, NewRez’ LOS.Reviewing transferred appraisals for risk and compliance. Performs related duties as assigned by management.Education and Experience RequirementsHigh-school diploma or equivalent1+ years of related experienceExperience in the mortgage industry a plus.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability RequirementsMust possess the ability to work efficiently and accuratelyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be detail-oriented and demonstrate careful decision-making skillsTeam player with strong communication skillsBasic computer skillsWhile this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
