This is an opportunity to join a highly respected plaintiff personal injury law practice that combines compassion with courtroom rigor. The firm focuses on guiding clients through the legal process with care and clarity, while delivering exceptional results in motor vehicle and catastrophic injury cases. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience, particularly trial work, and will understand how to balance strong advocacy with empathetic client service.Key Responsibilities
Client Relations
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, explaining legal processes and gathering updates with empathy and discretion.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and client dignity throughout the life of each case.
- Draft and review pleadings, including complaints, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents.
- Manage discovery: compile medical records, police reports, photos, expert disclosures, and witness statements.
- Create and send demand packages that present damages persuasively and clearly.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
- Prepare exhibit binders, timelines, and trial materials tailored for motor vehicle injury cases.
- Organize and execute trial logistics: witness coordination, courtroom materials, and in-court support.
- Support attorneys through depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Maintain case management systems, track deadlines, and handle e-filing in accordance with state and federal rules.
- Coordinate with medical providers and manage billing and lien information.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal, with a heavy focus on motor vehicle accident cases.
- Proven trial experience, from preparation through courtroom support.
- Advanced knowledge of Washington State civil procedure, local King County rules, and familiarity with U.S. District Court (Western District WA) e-filing.
- Proficiency with litigation support software (e.g., SmartAdvocate, Needles, Filevine, TrialWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Trauma-informed communication skills; ability to work with clients experiencing high stress.
- Strong organizational skills, particularly when handling large volumes of medical and evidentiary material.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-stakes environment.
