As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of a licensed plumber to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across the college campus. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while advancing your skills toward full journeyman certification.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in installing, repairing, and maintaining water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.Support preventative maintenance schedules to ensure reliable operation of plumbing systems.Learn and follow building codes, safety standards, and campus regulations.Operate basic plumbing tools and equipment under supervision.Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues and recommending solutions.Maintain cleanliness of work areas and proper storage of tools and materials.Document work performed and report findings to the lead plumber or supervisor.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; trade school coursework a plus.Some prior plumbing, maintenance, or construction experience preferred but not required.Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a variety of environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces).Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
