Finally, We pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.”Responsibilities:Has overall responsibility for execution of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, along with employee engagement for the Quality Assurance laser tracker inspection team.Strong focus on safe work environment, Zero Defects, and continuous Improvement activities.Manages both the strategic and short-term tactical activities of the work area.Optimizes inspection flow and production rates to meet customer demands, improve inventory turns and drive month over month cost improvement.Responsible for proactive resource management to mitigate production schedule risks.Support a work environment characterized by employee involvement and participative management to encourage the highestlevel of employee commitment and cooperation.Manage inspection team staffing levels to support customer requirements while maintaining efficient operations.Promptly responds to technical issues that arise on the production floor utilizing work instructions, design documents, and specifications.Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified) and a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of metrology experience
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills related to computer aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, etc.
  • Experience with Spatial Analysis, Polyworks or Verisurf Software
  • Technical strengths in composite processing. operations, and inspection
  • Must be familiar with standard mechanical Inspection techniques and tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and special program access clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeAn active (In-scope) DoD Secret security clearance last Investigated within 5 ½ years.Efficient at MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office systemsCapable of verifying, updating, and flow down of department procedures fortechnical adequacyCapable of conducting laser tracker inspections for the acceptance of partsand document the resultsStrong coursework in Math (Geometry & Trigonometry)Experience or training of GO& T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Experience and familiarity with assembly tooling and/or Inspection requirements of composite parts/materialsAbility to communicate/interface with multiple levels, such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Tool Design to interpret. analyze, and advise on the data/inspection results.Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a teamExcellent communication skills are requiredSelf-starter and ability to work through an Issue to closurePreference will be given to individuals already accessed to Special Access ProgramPrimary Level Salary Range: $87,800.00 - $131,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
