- Establish and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Perform regular audits of suppliers and internal processes to verify adherence to quality standards.
- Track and analyze quality performance metrics, taking corrective actions, as necessary.
- Assess and recommend suppliers for approval based on established quality criteria.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely material delivery.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and enhance processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the supply chain and devise strategies to elevate quality.
- Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement to streamline supply chain processes and minimize defects.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct risk and capacity assessments and create mitigation plans to address potential quality concerns.
- Maintain precise documentation and records related to quality management activities.
- Prepare and deliver reports on supplier quality performance to management.
- Analyze data to uncover trends and identify areas for enhancement.
- Utilize statistical tools to support quality analysis and informed decision-making regarding suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, quality management, engineering, or a related field.
- OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in aviation supply chain quality or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as AS9100.
- Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA).
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the industry.
