
CNC Brake Press Operator

- Set-Up and Operation
- Set up Amada press brake machines for production runs using work instructions and blueprints.
- Select proper tooling and program machine settings to meet part specifications.
- Adjust and align tooling as needed for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Production & Quality
- Operate the press brake to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts to tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.
- Documentation
- Record production data, including quantities, part numbers, and run times.
- Maintain setup sheets and update job documentation as needed.
- Maintenance and Safety
- Perform routine machine maintenance and notify supervisor of mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Collaboration
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve production or quality issues.
- Assist with training or mentoring junior operators as needed.
- Experience:
- 4+ years of experience operating and setting up Amada or similar CNC press brakes (e.g., RG, HFE, HD NT, or HRB series).
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sheet metal properties.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine controls is a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
