- Subject Matter Expert/Consulting: Consults stakeholders on all levels from end users to senior management. Guides business units through their ERP-related inquiries and requests. Activities include training/knowledge transfer, mentorship for coworkers, aligning business objectives with IT capabilities.
- Solution provider: Provides state-of-the-art solutions in order to optimize operations and support business goals. Establishes business cases, concepts and solution design and estimates, in collaboration with counterparts of the global SAP Center of Expertise and other IT groups (e.g. take part in IT estimations, feasibility studies, identify and evaluate solutions, help define system strategy and implementation roadmaps). Align local requirements with corporate standards and solutions, ensure fulfillment of local requirements in global templates.
- Project- and change request implementation: Ensures high quality implementation of change- and project requests within budget and schedule in collaboration with the global SAP module- and process owners, as well as local internal and external resources. Provides hands-on expertise for functional and technical activities related to MM, PP, QM and integration into FI/CO, PM, and SD processes. Participate in corporate release planning, project portfolio- and forecasting process. Participate in the upcoming global S4/HANA implementation project and guide the US team to implement and use S/4 HANA standard functions.
- Support daily operations: Manages all aspects of existing SAP setup for our manufacturing operations, including incident- and problem handling, troubleshooting, monitoring, short- and long-term fixes. Ensures customer-, legal and internal specifications and requirements are met at all times. Act as the first point of contact for key- and end users, as well as for management. Keeps documentation up to date.
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or related engineering discipline.
- 6+ years proven hands-on functional experience, including strong configuration skills of at least 3 out of the SAP modules PP, MM, QM, CO, PM
- At least 3 full lifecycle implementations
- Experience supporting midsize to large-size operations for at least 3 years in a leading hands-on capacity
- Proven ability to read and debug ABAP code and custom SAP enhancements, incl. BADI's, user-exits, interfaces
- Understanding of middleware and integration concepts, API's, SAP BAPIs, RFCs, IDOCs, Proxy Objects, SAP PI/PO functions
- Strong understanding of production planning and -execution processes, including MRP, S&OP, procurement, intercompany planning product-costing
- Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Business Process Modelling techniques and related tools (e.g. Visio or Inubit)
- Strong understanding of software life cycle and system implementation methodologies
- Experience with quality management systems and concepts (e.g. Six Sigma, CAPA)
- Ability to lead and manage projects and diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience with product development-, manufacturing- and supply chain concepts (e.g. KANBAN, LEAN)
- Experience supporting systems and processes in a global supply chain with distributed IT teams+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement
- Experience in Quality Systems and Document Management
- APICS certification
- Software verification/validation background
- Understanding of industry standards such as HIPAA, ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, FDA CFR Part 11
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
- Role is a hybrid with expected 2 days per week in the office.
- Employee must live in or relocate to the Portland, OR area.
- Must be able to travel internationally and domestically, less than 10% of the time.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
