- Deliver Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their needs, and provide thoughtful assistance. Take the time to understand their concerns and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a seamless and positive shopping experience.
- Visual Merchandising: Support floor relocations, maintain product displays, and update mannequins and visual elements to align with company directives
- Product Placement: Prepare and display merchandise in a visually appealing manner and replenish stock to maintain an organized presentation on the sales floor
- Pricing & Signing: Ensure accurate pricing and signage throughout the store is by regularly using technology to update product prices, promotions, and information on products and fixtures in accordance with company guidelines and policies
- Sales Support: Develop expertise in store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy's sales systems and use knowledge to help customers find what they need, complete sales transactions, and suggest additional items
- Store Presentation: Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve department goals, fostering a supportive and positive work environment. Share insights, offer assistance proactively, and address challenges early to keep operations running smoothly.
- No Education or Experience Required
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
- Self-starter; able to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs
- Must be able to:
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
