The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities.Under limited supervision the Information Technology Security System Admimistrator, performs system administration and server maintenance. Installs new systems and applications. Research and acquire the latest security software, patches and hardware for all systems in use by Tempus Unlimited. Works with other system administrators and network administrator to coordinate and deploy security updates and patches as required. The Security System Administrators role is to ensure that Tempus Unlimited' s computer network is secure using the most up to date hardware and software available.

Essential Functions
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
Monitor system status and alerts at security level
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary
Contribute to and maintain system standards
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Performing routine audit of systems and software
Competencies
Experience with Vmware Vcenter 6.5+
Experience with Vmware Vsphere 6.5+
Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2013+
Experience with HP Switches, Commware switches, Aruba Switches
Experience with Dell and HP servers
Experience with Firewalls
General knowledge of Vlans, Switching and routing
Experience with Storage Area Networks, ISCSI,
Experience with Starwinds VSAN, HP MSA
Experience with Patch Management
Knowledge of Visio, System Monitoring, Security, Project Management
Experian working in a 24/7 uptime environment
Ability to train other staff
Ability to maintain documentation on all systems related to security level status
Ability to identify and install security patches as needed
Ability to use Active Directory at a level that ensures staff access is consistent with System Access Forms
Ability to perform an annual audit of all System Access Forms
Ability to work on a small team with shared responsibility

Ability to work with limited direction and minimal oversight
Required Education
Minimum education requirement of a High School Degree with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
