Position SummaryThe Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2024-2025 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Library and Information Science department. Courses may vary. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrar's Office schedule of classes at . This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.Essential FunctionsCourse Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:
  • Teach in person or online once a week;
  • Create and maintain course Canvas container for the onsite courses;
  • Meet with students as needed to support their success;
  • Provide assignment feedback and grades to students in a timely manner;
  • Respond to emails from students and program leadership within 48 business hours
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in relevant content area (e.g., Library & Information Science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program)
  • Two years of professional experience in a library, archive, museum, or other information services setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level.
Work ScheduleWhile the University's administrative offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas.
