Primary Position Purpose:The primary purpose of this position is to provide guidance to internal and external parties regarding Human Resource questions that maximizes satisfaction and enhances U.S. Xpress' reputation every day. Our goal is to provide professional, timely, accurate, and consistent services to all parties contacting U.S. Xpress Human Resources. The position supports one or more human resources departments (e.g. compensation, benefits, & HR service center). Responsible for leading some HR projects as assigned by the supervisor or requested by the incumbent. May perform administrative tasks as needed.Position Functions:· Answer incoming calls and respond to customers' emails. Provide guidance and assistance to internal and external parties requesting any Human Resource (HR) & benefit related information and services.· Apply in depth research and analysis using all available resources and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and accurate response to final decision point for completion of customer inquiries.· Create and distribute new hire badges for all locations requiring badge entry.· Work with team to complete weekly, monthly, and annual reporting and audits as needed.· Participate in departmental, divisional, and corporate initiatives as assigned.· Handle front desk-receptionist duties such as deliveries, visitors, and other administrative responsibilities· Support employee leave process/FMLA including invoicing for employee owing while on leave, following up to ensure receipt of payment, and applying payments in the system.· Assist the benefits team during the annual benefits open enrollment· Collaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce.· Attend all in-person meetings and training on recent developments, goals, and objectives. Participate in such discussions by offering input and advice.· Regularly engage remotely and in-person with customers and potential customers to establish rapport, open communication, and expectations.What We're Looking For:Education· High school diploma or GED equivalent required· Experience in the transportation industry a plus.· Benefits or Human Resource experience a plusSkills/Certifications· Exceptional customer focus, interpersonal, verbal/written communications skills required.· Solid time management skills· Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and managing change· Works quickly and efficiently.
