- Assist in developing and refining Department of State and interagency CBRN response plans, policies, and procedures through the support of facilitated scenario-driven workshops, tabletop exercises, field exercises, and other exercise events.
- Assist in the planning, organizing, conducting, and reporting the results of exercises and other events as designated.
- Provide CBRN technical expertise, doctrinal and planning support, consequences of execution assessments, and CBRN hazard prediction analysis capabilities to determine worst-case and most likely effects. Assist with crisis action planning in developing courses of action for resolving CBRN situations.
- Manage geographically focused country engagement portfolios, responsibility for managing all engagements, developing project schedules, coordinating activities, and facilitating the implementation of a 3-5 year plan.
- Support critical research and analysis of current and developing strategic objectives
- Possess strong writing skills and experience in analysis, research, and strategy development.
- Provide support for facilitating interagency communications, training, and aiding the team to ensure cohesive, effective, and efficient responses to CBRN accidents and incidents across other government agencies.
- Assist in developing, coordinating, and supporting engagement efforts with the DOS, interagency, and foreign partners, including briefing the senior leadership.
- The candidate will be expected to frequently travel abroad as part of their work duties (25% travel).
- Associates or Bachelors degree with two or more years of experience in nonproliferation, R/N security or terrorism-related field and two or more years of project management experience, including experience in international project planning and implementation.
- Broad knowledge and experience with issues related to non-proliferation, international affairs, or CBRN terrorism and counter-terrorism matters.
