- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in insurance operations, preferably with technical system exposure.
- Experience working with OpenText Exstream, or similar customer communication management tools preferred.
- Understanding of mainframe (IMS, TSO, DB2 tables, read/update, JCL (read and minor changes))
- PC skills required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
- Knowledge of business systems is preferred.
- Voluntary Benefit Product Insurance knowledge is preferred.
- Cross-functional general knowledge of the business or operational processes or in-depth knowledge of a business or operational process is preferred.

- Maintain and modify existing document applications; make approved changes.

- Write and maintain programming documentation.
- Review and audit contract output using visual and automated comparison tools.
- Confirm accuracy of printed content versus expected business/legal documentation.
- Optimize document logic in Exstream to support scalable and compliant output.
- Perform audits on Mainframe.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to confirm understanding of business requirements relating to features to be delivered and to help the Business Analyst define requirements that can be delivered from a technical perspective.
- Work closely with test engineers and developers to address errors and inefficiencies to establish the definition of done.
- Communicates daily with the Scrum Master or Team Lead and the Agile team on progress made and planned progress for the coming day and reports any impediments that are blocking their progress.
- Monitor changes throughout the project lifecycle and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed.
